The Joint was born 16 months ago as a pop-up by Warren Dean and Daniel Fiteni. The idea was to create simple fast food with a twist.
Having worked around the world honing their craft, Warren and Daniel decided to come together as they believed the combination of Chef meets Baker concept would work exceptionally well.
The menu started off being created entirely on site by the team. As they continued to grow they needed to find a bakery that would produce their own especially made buns in larger quantities.
However they wanted to do this in a way where they could pass on their skills to others and give something back to the surrounding community. This lead to the partnership with Bad Boys’ Bakery, an initiative within Brixton Prison that teaches new new skills to offenders.
Within the 16 months The Joint has been creating a buzz not only around the ever expanding and popular Brixton Village Market but nationwide with their Mobile Food Truck. The “Food Aid Centre” has been involved in some of the UK’s biggest street food events.
